I had genetic under eye bags that did not go away no matter how much I slept or how healthy I was. People constantly asked me me if I had allergies or if I was tired which hurt my self confidence a lot and became really annoying as I was trying everything to get rid of the bags (exercise, diet, eye creams etc). Thankfully, I found Dr Steinsapir and Faith more than 15 years ago and Dr Steinsapir was able to dramatically improve the appearance of my under eye bags with filler. I have had multiple filler services with him and have never had under eye filler by any other doctor. Dr Steinsapir has impeccable attention to detail and approaches his work like an artist. He spends a great deal of time making sure that you get the best possible outcome and is always honest about what can and can't be done. Both Dr Steinsapir and Faith are kind and thoughtful and really care about their patients. Trusting somebody to inject filler into your face is a really big decision and can severely impact your life negatively if done by the wrong person. If you are considering getting filler, I highly recommend Dr Steinsapir and Faith!

I’ll start off by saying this is my husband’s account .
I had a botched upper and lower blepharoplasty with another plastic surgeon that changed my life. My lower lids were so droopy that I couldn’t close my eyes. My upper lids had a very high crease that left my eyes looking sunken in and old. I was depressed and crying every day. I started having anxiety and would suffer an anxiety attack anytime I left my house. I thought this is what my life would be like forever. All I wanted to do was die.
I started searching for surgeons that specialize in revision surgeries. I was reading through reviews and Dr Steinsapir stood out above the rest. But then I realized he was in Hollywood, California. I figured there would be no way I could ever afford a surgeon like that. I’m just a regular person working as a nurse in Michigan. I am by no means rich. My friend talked me into calling anyway just to see what they said, and then Faith answered the phone. She was my angel.
She spent so much time on the phone with me and she was finally someone that understood exactly what I was feeling, what I was going through, and how much I was suffering. She is a kind, caring and genuine person that wants to help people. I felt so comfortable with her. She convinced me to come and meet Dr Stiensapir. When I hung up the phone with her, I finally had hope.
When I met Dr Steinsapir, I knew right away that he was just as caring and empathetic as Faith was. While he was confident in his skills, he never came off as arrogant.
He took his time and went over everything with me. He answered all my questions and I never felt rushed. He did a thorough exam, made sketches of my eyes, took measurements and photos. We discussed all my options and his recommendations that were tailored specifically to my needs.
I decided to move forward and book my surgery with Dr Steinsapir. In the meantime, anytime I had questions or concerns, he was always just a phone call away. Dr Steinspair would call me back personally to discuss them. Anytime that I needed some extra help and encouragement to make it through the day without falling apart, I could always call and talk to Faith. She really cares about her patients. You don’t feel like you’re just another patient being rushed through the process. You really feel like she is your friend and she cares about your wellbeing.
Everything went great with surgery, and I am so happy with the improvement it has made. They are just as wonderful with the after care and follow up. Again, I am a nurse, and have met many surgeons, but never one that measures up to Dr Steinsapir. He is not only extremely knowledgeable and talented, but also empathetic, kind, caring, and compassionate. His entire team is top notch! He truly is an expert at what he does. I am so thankful and forever grateful for the care they gave me. Please, if you are suffering like I was, just make the call. It could give you your life back.

Failed medpor cheek implant with lower lid retraction

Short story: I had a very difficult problem where my left eyelid was retracted and my left cheek implant (medpor) was too large. Dr Steinsapir removed the inappropriate implant, placed a better one and corrected my eyelid all in the same procedure. I used to be disfigured with strangers asking me what's wrong with my eye. Now, I have my face back and I couldn't be happier. Faith was there all along to make this whole thing an incredible experience.

Long story: I was a very difficult case because I had an infected implant that messed up my eye and cheek. I sought help elsewhere and even a top facial implant surgeon refused to take my case. It was so discouraging... good luck trying to find a surgeon that's willing and able to remove a medpor cheek implant. I almost gave up and resigned myself to live with my damaged eye.

However, Dr Steinsapir, Faith and their team saved me!! I traveled internationally for this work and it was so worth it. Dr Steinsapir is extremely meticulous. Not counting surgery time, he spent close to 10 hours examining me 1:1 . I never received so much attention from a doctor in my entire life. Their office runs like a well oiled machine, and Faith is an amazing person. It was so nice to have her support over the phone and in person during these difficult times.

In 2021 I went to Dr Steinsapir for reconstructive upper and lower bleph (after a first surgery in 2020 with a different plastic surgeon with a disastrous result). I'm so happy I found Dr Steinsapir and it was worth it for me to travel out of state (I don't live in CA) for both the consult and the surgery. I highly recommend him and his assistant, Faith!!! I'm not a celeb or even wealthy, I'm a regular, middle class, work full time kind of woman. But it was so worth it. Forever grateful!! THANK YOU Dr Steinsapir.

I traveled from out of town to see the doctor. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Dr Steinsapirs office. He is a very knowledgeable and is empathetic. I had a bad service elsewhere and was desperate for an honest opinion on what happened and why. He thoroughly examened me and gave me a diagnosis. It felt like a weight was lifted off my shoulders to know what was really going on and how long it would take to resolve.

He didn't upsell any procedures I didn't need (in fact he talked me out of doing anything and suggested I give more time for my complication to resolve).

It isn't a high volume office so YOU will be the main focus while the doctor is with you. You won't feel like a number and be rushed out after 10 mins. Patients travel from all over the world to see him and I totally understand why.

I highly highly recommend!

Dr Steinsapir has good reviews but when I spoke to Faith on the phone, I was told the consultation is $4000 or $3600 with the real self 400 discount!! Unfortunately I had to look elsewhere but have spoken to other renowned plastic surgeons in the CA area like Dr Massry and Dr Taban who are much more reasonable and affordable for everyday middle class people like me.

Very Satisfied with Eyelid and Mid-Face Surgeries

I recently underwent lower eyelid reconstructions and mid-face surgery with Kenneth Steinsapir, M.D., a Beverly Hills, world-renowned oculoplastic surgeon. I cannot say enough positive things about the entire experience. I am extremely satisfied with the results thus far and am impressed with the precision, thoroughness, and passion of Dr. Steinsapir and his team in treating me. They have exceeded my expectations in every aspect of the consultation, surgery and after-care that I have received.

I sought out Dr. Steinsapir after a botched canthoplasty surgery last year by a different surgeon that left me with eyelashes painfully growing into my corneas, numerous granulomas in my eyelids and redundant skin at the outer edges of my eyes which made me look decades older. I had a consultation in which Dr. Steinsapir analyzed the problems with my prior surgery and presented a solution for me to consider. He also identified another issue with my mid-face, which was that my facial implants (from another prior surgery) were poorly positioned in the sub-malar region, making me look older and tired. He recommended lower eyelid reconstruction to address the botched canthoplasty and replacing the old implants with new custom Gore-Tex implants. During surgery, he hand carved the implants to match each side of the face and orbital rim, so that the cheek sits in a more natural position and my eyes close and feel more comfortable. I am extremely happy that I took Dr. Steinsapir’s recommendations because the results, even at this early stage, are phenomenal.

My eyes look and feel healthier and the implants in their new positions make me look years younger. It will take time – several months minimum – to see the full results of this surgery. (Anyone who thinks that they can assess the results of eyelid surgery immediately is not well-informed and does not understand the healing process– recovery takes time!) But an initial look at my eyes and face is already far superior to what I had before the surgery.

Dr. Steinsapir’s team, and Faith Gomberg in particular, are caring, thorough and completely patient-centric. I have been treated by many physicians’ offices but never have I experienced the level of personal service, attention to detail and quality control that Faith exercises. She is a professional’s professional, who is not only supremely competent but also is a genuinely caring individual whose love for her work and the patients she serves is incomparable. I can only aspire to be as good as Faith is in my own work – she sets the bar that high.

If you are contemplating oculoplastic surgery or mid-face surgery, I strongly recommend that you consult with Dr. Steinsapir. This is especially true if you have already had a surgery that was performed by someone who does not understand eyelid surgery, its anatomy, and did not achieve a positive outcome as you were promised, which is unfortunately most plastic surgeons. I do not think that there is anyone better than Dr. Steinsapir at oculoplastic and mid-face surgery nor has anyone assembled a team of medical and patient care professionals that are as good as Dr. Steinsapir’s team. I will be posting photos as my recovery progresses so you may see the results and realize that this review is based on results and not emotions or feelings. I have been through several poorly executed plastic surgeries and if you have as well you know how disappointing and devastating that can be. I am confident that your experience with Dr. Steinsapir will leave you more than satisfied with the process and the results will be the best possible.

I came to see Dr Steinsapir at a very low time in my life. About a year and a half ago I went through a horrible experience with a previous plastic surgeon who performed both upper and lower blepharoplasties that left my eyes not only hollow and tired looking but also terribly dry and uncomfortable. Instead of looking refreshed and younger I looked old and sick. I was devastated and went from being a very outgoing person to a completely miserable introvert. My whole life came to a standstill. I went to several Drs who used filler to mitigate the hollowness which helped somewhat but in some ways only made matters worse. I still didn’t look like myself and I continued to hide out at home as much as possible not sure what to do.
After much research I realized I needed surgical help and that’s when I made an appointment to see Dr Steinsapir. All I can say is that from the very first phone call I was so impressed with his office. Wow! His office manager Faith is unlike any other person I have ever met. She was so kind and reassuring when I called to schedule my appointment! After being harmed so badly by other Drs at first I had a hard time believing her kindness was for real but now I can attest 100% that it is. When I met Dr Steinsapir I was beyond impressed. He is kind, direct and extremely knowledgeable. After a thorough examination he was able to tell me exactly what was wrong with my eyes and how he planned to fix the problems that were caused by my prior surgery. I felt an emotion I hadn’t felt in a very long time - hope. I knew right then that he was “the guy”.
The surgery was not inexpensive by any means but it was worth every penny. Every surgery the Dr. does is tailor made to the patient. Not only was my initial consult three hours long but once I decided to go ahead with the procedure he spent additional hours with me prior to my surgery, answering all my questions big and small and discussing with me in detail the results we wanted to achieve. I was amazed by his level of care and attention to detail.
My surgeries went extremely well and I am beyond thrilled with the results!! I look like myself again but younger and fresher and prettier than I could have even imagined. Dr Steinsapir explained every detail of the surgery and what I could expect as an outcome and to be honest, I didn’t have very high expectations. I figured as long as there was some improvement both in appearance and comfort and I didn’t look worse I’d be good with that. So to have the incredible results that I do is truly unbelievable.
In addition, the after care I received went far beyond anything I’ve ever experienced. The Dr. made himself accessible in case I had any concerns and Faith checked in with me regularly- encouraging me daily as I went through the early days of healing.
I’m still early in the healing process (3-4 weeks) but I can honestly say I feel like Dr. Steinsapir gave me my life back. I’m able to see myself in the mirror without feeling a knot in my stomach and I’m able to look people in the eye once again knowing I look great. I feel and look beautiful! I can’t imagine where I’d be right now without this surgery and I will be forever grateful to both Dr Steinsapir and Faith. It has been a true honor to have been treated by such a brilliant surgeon and cared for by his truly lovely office manager. They are an amazing team!
