Horrible experience with Susan Grigsby who was handling the lot rental for someone else. She had us send a check of $100 for electric deposit for a week rental. If you know anything about rv parks typically electric is only paid on monthly stays. Then we were told a price of $250 for the week, which is a tad bit high, but we decided was ok. We scheduled to meet her at 5pm, she was asking if we could meet earlier so we changed our plans to meet at 2pm. When we were about 45 minutes away she called and asked if we could meet later around 4pm, she had a niece who wanted to take her to lunch. We said ok. She called back at 3:45 saying they were just getting to the restaurant and she'd meet us at 4:30pm. She was in Jensen Beach which means she would never get there by then unless she was already done eating. We had been sitting waiting for her now for about an hour. My husband was irritated by now. So we asked if she could give us the gate code so we could just go in and set up. She said she thought if we called her from the gate box it would open. However, she was concerned we wouldn't find the lot, but not concerned enough to bother giving us the address. We drove around trying to find the old number and eventually some nice people gave us a map of the the old numbers to new. I had to look up which lots she rented on the website again because she had given me the wrong lot number. She was only renting 2. So we drove by and only one was empty. We had to drive down the wrong way on a one way street to get our rig backed in. We have no slides, just a 30 foot Airstream and it was really tight. Of course the "friendly' neighbors didn't bother asking if they should move their car or golf cart. Susan did warn us when we got in the gate the guy across the street was fed up, not sure with what...she didn't share. However, we never had any issues with the neighbors at all. Not really friendly, but they didn't bother us. Susan showed up about 5:30pm and we paid her in check for the spot $250 as she requested. She said she'd have to come by to take a reading on the meter before we left so we should let her know when we were leaving. I called her on Tuesday to let her know we would be leaving at 8am on Saturday, my dog was ill and we needed to get to our next location and get her to the vet. She complained about how we were really making her work... Um, how? We tried to accommodate her time requirements, we got set up before she even arrived and I was calling her 4 days early to let her know we wanted to leave at 8am. She also said she would need proof of the deposit check I sent her for $100, because she usually only asks for $50. Really? Anyways she was on time, and I had a picture of my $100 check with her signature on the back. Without that I bet we wouldn't have got any money back. We got our reading from the meter and only owed her $9 for electric for the week, which should've meant we were getting $91 back, but no she charged us another $25 for rent maybe because we asked her to come at 8am? Who knows. The rv park/mobile home park is fine. It has all the amenities it says, laundry is cheap and the beach is a cross the road, easily accessible. We have no desire to stay here again, but this would've been a 3-4 star review except for Susan. We thought about giving a 1 but didn't think that was fair to the park.
